Yes. Myself and most purchasers on Amazon would agree that they block about 90% of greater of the light. However, they are others on Amazon who would attest that it blocks out less light.

MOST DEFINITELY!!! In the mornings, when I part the curtains you can feel the cool air trapped between the window pane and curtain escape.
They typically ship fast and they come in a set of 2 panels. Now when it arrived, they were it came of the packaging wrinkled and honestly I was too tired from moving in so I put them straight out the pack. As you can see from the picture you can't really tell they are wrinkled and they straightened out more over time. But if you are OCD, nothing a little dryer action or ironing couldn't fix.
There are minimal downsides, such as a few loose threading here and there but overall the quality is great for the price. These curtains were thick and comes in a variety of sizes, so I could use them in multiple locations throughout my home. I definitely recommend.
